South Korea Releases 2024 Report on Imported and Exported Foods
On June 30, 2025, South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) released the 2024 Imported and Exported Food Report. In 2024, South Korea imported 19.38 million tons of food, representing a 5.4% increase from the previous year. Notably, imports of agricultural and forestry products rose by 10.1%, kimchi imports continued to grow, while imports of health functional foods decreased by 4.2%. Meanwhile, exports of domestic food products increased by 12.2%.
